Vintage "STOKES TOYS" die cast metal Samson race racing car model toy 1920's AUSTRALIA. Cast aluminum alloy metal. Modelled off a Samson racing car. Wheels run freely with axel. Silver, but would have had red paint or enamel. Rustic, distressed finish. Model #188 AM. Impressed on front: "Samson". On underside: "A Stokes Toy" and "188 AM." Was a pull-along (hole at the base of the grille). Made in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia in 1920's-30's. Sourced within The Mornington Peninsula.
