Vintage "OTAGIRI MERCANTILE COMPANY" "OMC" wood cat figurine Cryptomeria toothpick holder 1950's JAPAN. Small size, figural shaped. In the form of a cat. Figurine or toothpick holder. Constructed of Cryptomeria japonica (Japanese cedar), dark brown. Leather ears and tail, beaded orange eyes and nose, hair for whiskers. Front pouch stores toothpicks. Mid-century modern style. Hand carved. Made in Japan in 1950's-60's. Sourced within the Mornington Peninsula.
