Vintage "KHOKHLOMA" hand painted floral folk art 7" wooden canister 1960's RUSSIA. Small wooden lidded kitchen canister container. Used to store dried food items such as tea, rice or dried herbs. Hand painted traditional Russian folk art of flowers and leaves then lacquered. Prominent colours of gold and red with green and black accents. Folk art design. Domed lid with knob handle. The interior has been painted silver to replicate a tin look. Stamp on the bottom of the base reads as follows: "Made in USSR". Made in USSR RUSSIA in 1960's. Sourced within the Mornington Peninsula.

Very Good Vintage Condition.
