Description

Vintage brown 100% leather hand tooled painted houses crossbody purse 1970's. Small 100% leather tooled crossbody purse. Long thin fixed crossbody strap. Rectangular shaped with curved bottom. Envelope flap with exposed press stud closure. Body is stitched together with thin leather cord. A scene of a suburban neighbourhood of homes nestled amidst trees and clouds hand tooled on flap. Hand coloured with green, red, yellow and white. I have not seen an example with this depiction. Perhaps it was made by or for a child due to its naive but sweet design. It has a happy and childlike feel to it. Hand made likely in America or Mexico in 1970's-80's. Sourced within the Mornington Peninsula.
