"THE SYMBOL OF FRIENDSHIP: I AM INDIAN TEA" green 7" tea tin vintage 1950's India. Would make a beautiful addition to a vintage tea tin collection or stunning kitchen display piece.

Offset lithograph of green with gold text on 2 sides "India Tea" and illustration of a tea plant on the other 2 sides. Screw top lid. The lid reads: "The Symbol Of Friendship. I Am India Tea." with an illustration of a tea pot headed figure. Pre-barcoded. Large size. Blunt cone shape. Manufactured in India in 1950's, or perhaps a bit later. The official Tea Board India logo is printed on the base with a description on the best way to prepare your tea from tea leaves. The Tea Board Of India organisation was established in 1953 and is still operating today. Very rare and highly collectible. I have only seen smaller red versions of this exquisite tin.

There is some wear and surface rust esp along the exposed metal edges and top, loss to some lithograph perhaps from old price stickers, dings near the top and to the lid, but all in all in good condition for its age (please refer to photos).
