Antique "LENIN FORGE" "LENINSKAYA KUZNITSYA PLANT" (?) USSR cast metal bronze ashtray / dish / tray / vide poche 1920's RUSSIA. Small size, oval shaped. Solid metal alloy (perhaps iron or pewter), bronzed. Good cast with good detail. Raised floral motif with pierced / openwork scroll detail. Suitable to use as an ashtray, dish, tray (cards, trinkets), vide poche or catch-all. Original aged patina. Impressed stamp on base reads as follows: "MET" an abbreviation for МЕТАЛЛ (=metal). Handmade. Unbranded and otherwise unmarked. Possibly made by "Lenin Forge" "Leninskaya Kuznitsya Plant". Made in USSR / Soviet / Russian Federation / Russia in 1920's-50's. Sourced within the Mornington Peninsula.
