Vintage two-tone brown stoneware salt glaze rustic flagon / demijohn / keg signed 1890's AUSTRALIA. Large sized, tapered shaped. Short neck with lipped opening. With a handle with incised line detail. Caramel brown top and light brown base. Glazed finish. Would have stored wine, spirts or cider. Signed. (Grease pencil?) signature on the base reads as follows: "R. Werner." (?, likely owner's name). Rustic farmhouse country style. Made in Australia or England in 1890's-1900's. Sourced within the Mornington Peninsula.
