Antique "PHOENIX BISCUITS CO. PTY. LTD." orange Thin Captains biscuit tin 6¾lb. rectangular, lidded with hinge. Orange and yellow with white and black accents. With paper labels, front mostly attached. Writing on front reads as follows: "Phoenix Biscuits. Thin Captains." and Back: "This tin will be created at the hiring charge of 4'- if returned to Phoenix Biscuit Co. Pty. Ltd. in good condition with this label attached by the person, firm or company to whom supplied." Top: "Phoenix Thin Captains. Phoenix Biscuits patent Melbourne VIC." and Stamp on base: "Patented. This tin is not sold with content thereof but remains the property of Phoenix Biscuit Co. Pty Ltd. Abbotsford. Willow. Made in Australia." Made in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia in 1900's-40's. Tin is from "Willow". Very rare and highly sought after, museum piece. Sourced within the Mornington Peninsula.

Good Antique Condition, wear on paper (esp on lid), scratches, dings, dents and rust.
