Description

Antique "NESTLÉ" blue lactogen nursing milk food tin 3lb. Cylindrical, lidded. Blue with cream accents. Writing on front reads as follows: "Lactogen registered. The Milk Food. With added vitamins A and D and organic iron. For infants and nursing mothers. A Nestlé's product. A spray dried milk food product containing not less than 23 ¼ milk fats. Prepared in Australia. Nestle and Anglo-Swiss condensed milk co Australasia." Back: Directions and feeding table, and on the lid: "Two important points... Net weight 3lb." Made in Australia in 1900's-40's. Was not able to remove lid. Rare and sought after, museum piece. Sourced within the Mornington Peninsula.

Good Antique Condition, loss of litho (esp on lid, with paint), scratches, dings, dents and rust.
