Antique "JD/WD" "J. D. W. D." "JAMES DEAKIN & SONS WILLIAM AND JOHN DEAKIN" sterling silver cut glass Edwardian dressing table pot 1900's. Rectangular, sarcophagus shaped, lidded (removable). Hobnail cut decoration, star cut base. Embossed / repoussé design on band of domed lid of a flowers. Art Nouveau / Edwardian style. Maker's mark and hallmarks on side of lid. Made in Birmingham, England in 1911. "JAMES DEAKIN" were established from 1870's-1930's, made in Birmingham, Sheffield and London. Sourced within the Mornington Peninsula.
Excellent Antique Condition. Sold in as-found condition. Light scratches on glass base and flea nibbles around star cut. Lid is in excellent condition
