Antique "THE MYSTERY OF EDWIN DROOD" of "COLLINS' ILLUSTRATED POCKET CLASSICS" #330 of 330 by Charles Dickens softcover leather bound classic literature novel 1904-15, illustrated by Harold Hume Piffard, published by Collins' Clear-Type Press London & Glasgow in England. Undated but likely from 1904-15 or perhaps 20. Maroon leather bound with gold gilt, illustrations (plates) and ribbon marker. No dust jacket. Originally published in 1870. Sourced within the Mornington Peninsula.
The Mystery of Edwin Drood tells of a young man, Edwin Drood, who is set to be married to Rosa. They call it off in a cordial fashion; however, Drood's uncle Jasper is obsessed with Rosa and has his own designs on winning her affection, making her very scared of his intentions.
Excellent Antique Condition, grey lead pencil price inscribed, wear to leather esp top of spine and corners and ribbon marker.
