Antique D. M. DUNLOP top hat size M 56cm & leather hat bucket ENGLAND 1800's EAC

Antique "D. M. DUNLOP" Ascot top hat size 6 ⅞ UK / 7 US / M / 56cm with original leather traveling hat bucket / box / case 1800's. Black brushed 100% Silk formal Ascot top hat with grosgrain ribbon band accents. 5 ¼" (13.5cm) crown height. Stamped on interior: "D. M. Dunlop. Hatter. In Defence. 4 North Bridge. Edinburgh. Opposite general post office." with a crest / coat of arms.

Comes with original leather traveling hat bucket / box / case with leather carry handle. Made in Edinburgh, England in 1800's. Sourced within The Mornington Peninsula.

Excellent Antique Condition. Sold in as-found condition. Hat: wear to bottom, top of rim, top rim of hat, fraying of fabric in inner lining of hat, separation of inner band and a dent on side. May be refurbished at buyer's discretion.

Hat box: missing front leather strap and front lock piece, minor stains and wear to interior, missing holding straps, considerable wear and tear to leather, dry and cracked. May be refurbished at buyer's discretion.
