Antique cast iron balance scales 10kg grocer market shop merchant mercantile 1900's. Solid cast brass. Painted blue with red and gold parcel gilt accents. 4 prong bracket on one side and square platform on the other. Would have been used in a grocer, market, shop, mercantile or commercial or residential kitchen for weighing produce. Maximum weight is 10kg. Markings are as follows: "K.M. 10kg. 046. 71046. KM in a diamond shape." Certification markings for keurmerk. Unbranded. Beautiful aged patina. Very rare and highly sought after. Made in The Netherlands in 1900's-30's. Sourced within the Mornington Peninsula.

Excellent Antique Condition. Sold in as-found condition. Loss of paint with rust esp on square platform. Does not come with pan or weights.
